ADAS Callibration

ADAS calibration (and recalibration) on all Volkswagen Audi Group cars for your vehicle’s advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), such as collision warning (FCW), lane departure warning (LDW), automatic emergency braking (AEB) and several others.

Diagnostics

Vehicle diagnostic checks for a vehicle's systems and components to help identify issues and rectify them. Modern vehicles are equipped with extensive computer networks that can provide information on the engine, brakes, and other related systems.

Oil & Filter Change

You should have your oil and oil filter changed every year or 10,000 miles keep your engine clean and improve its efficiency. This will also improve your MPG and engine life.

Servicing

A full service includes an oil and filter change, a visual inspection of fluid levels and components, a wheel alignment check, a brake and steering inspection, an inspection of the air filter and other filters, lights, tyres, bodywork, exhausts, suspension and battery.

Engine Replacement

We can replace engines for you. This is usually done for a variety of reasons including extreme power loss. The DVLA must be informed of the engine change so that the new engine number is recorded. You will then be issued with a new V5C logbook.

Brake Disc/Pad Replacements

If you hear a grinding noise when you are using the brake pedal, chances are your brake pads are worn down to the metal caliper. Akers Garage offer brake disc/brake pad inspections and we also replace worn discs and pads.

Fan Belt Replacement

Akers Garage replaces worn fan belts. Worn fan belts can result in a loss of power steering and cause the cooling system to malfunction leading to the engine overheating. A broken belt can also affect the alternator leading to a dead battery.

Tyre Fitting

Akers Garage stock brands such as Khumo and Jinyo Tyres which offer high quality at competitive prices. Our tyre services include assessing tyre damage, tyre tubes, rim damage and wheels balancing.

Air Conditioning Systems

If your air conditioning is not blowing cold air, it could be a result of a clogged filter, cooling fan problem, radiator trouble, or it could simply be that you need to recharge your air conditioning. Akers Garage can help.

Tow Bar Fitting

Akers Garage fit tow bars which may require some modifications to your vehicle. It's important that tow bars are only ever fitted by professionals as we know exactly what we are doing. Bike racks can also be mounted onto ISO50 tow bars.

DPF Filters

Any DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) problems  can be sorted easily at Akers Garage.  We have the latest DPF cleaning technology, deep cleaning and flushing the blocked DPF plus the diagnostic ability to perform a static regeneration. Any make any model

Timing Belts

March is always the busiest time for timing belt replacements and MOTs. We always replace the timing belt kit complete with water pump and change the coolant. Other online quotes you might see most often are a belt replacement only.

MOT Test Centre

Akers Garage is an MOT Vehicle Testing Station. If your vehicle is more than three years old, you can't drive without an MOT unless you are driving to a pre-booked test at an authorised test centre.

Software Updates

We can now install and activate Apple/Android car play. Also carry out your key coding, software updates, module programming on all VW group cars.

Akers Garage is proud to help keep Dumfries and Galloway Blood Bikes on the road. Although motorcycles are most often used, their cars are used when blood needs to be kept below 3 degrees Celsius.
