I started at Dumfries Motor Company as a VW apprentice in 1998 and my love for the brand grew quickly from there. In 2004 I started Akers Garage. I enjoy time with my family, farming and classic cars.
I started hairdressing in 1985 and started my own business in 1999 until 2013. I have been working at Akers Garage since 2015. I have 4 children and have been married to Scott for 10 years. I enjoy meeting friends and enjoying a few cocktails.
I have been in the trade over 35 years, starting at Dunlops Lancia in St Michael St. I ran my own business for 26 years, and have now been working at Akers since 2017. In my spare time I am a part time entertainer.
I started in 1979 as an apprentice at Southern Garage for 11 years. I then worked at Border Cards for 30 years. I then started at Akers Garage in 2018. I enjoy Squash, Hillwalking and restoring my Triumph Spitfire.
I started in the motor trade in 1985 at Solway Cars Volvo. I then spent 20 years at a VW dealership. I have been working at Akers Garage since 2020 and I am very passionate about VWs In my spare time I’m a keen motorcyclist.
I served my time at Rover and worked at Saab too. I used to run a mobile diagnostics company in Manchester before moving to Scotland in 2008. I worked for Vauxhall then Isuzu where I won 2016 – Uk & Europe No1 Technician for Isuzu Competition. My hobbies include restoring classic cars and spending time with my family.
I started my apprenticeship training to become a mechanic in December 2020. I enjoy playing football and meeting friends.
I have over 45 years experience having started at Stag Garage in Argyll. When I moved to Dumfries I worked at Corries Crossflags – Mitsubishi Motors. I started at Akers in 2020. I am a Pres elder for the Church of Scotland in the parish of Dornock.
